SIESTA(Spanish Initiative for Electronic Simulations with Thousands of Atoms)는 분자와 고체의 전자 구조 계산과 ab initio 분자 동역학 시뮬레이션을 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 프로그램입니다. 원자 궤도 기저를 활용하여 수천 원자 규모의 시스템에도 효율적으로 적용할 수 있으며 고체, 분자, 나노구조 등 다양한 물질의 전자적 특성을 정밀하게 예측하고 빠른 계산 속도와 높은 확장성을 제공하여 복잡한 물리 문제 해결에 유용한 프로그램 입니다.
